Special Seminar for students leaders, moderators, and Class Advisers is happening this coming October 14, 2014. Entitled “Student Leadership to Prevent Bullying: Improving School Climate through Youth Empowerment,” the seminar aims to equip student leaders with the necessary skills to initiate programs and activities that can proactively prevent bullying and create a welcoming campus atmosphere. Participants will also get the opportunity to form part of a network of student leaders who will champion character-based advocacy. The event will again be held at the Amici Training Room, at the Connecticut Street in San Juan City from 1:00PM to 4:30PM.
Participants may include:
1. Student Council Officers
2. Officers of Campus Clubs/Organizations
3. School Paper Staff
4. Class Officers
5. Teacher Moderators
6. Class Advisers
The seminar will cover the following topics:
1. Students’ Role in Preventing Bullying
2. Effective Leadership with Character
3. Concrete Strategies/Projects that Improve School Climate
4. Project Management
Maximum 50 Participants per session
Early Bird Fee (Must deposit and send reservations on or before October 10, Friday) – P350
Regular Fee (Must deposit and send reservation at least 1 day before event proper ) – P450
On Site Payment/Registration: – P600 (Institutional Members are entitled to P25 discount/head when in groups of 8 or more)
The Seminar Fee covers snacks and certificate of participation. Seat reservations are on a first-come, first – served basis. To avail of the discounted early-bird rate, payment must be deposited on or before October 10 (Friday). As there are limited slots only, reservation is necessary. Please take note that your reservations maybe taken out once the event is considered to be “maxed out”, a one day notice for payment confirmation will be given by the CEP Associate to your school.
