MANILA – In advertising, is it really all about selling? Do people go overtime all the time? Do they get to join all the awards shows? Is it really that glamorous? Are the offices always lively and buzzing with great ideas? Does one have to be exceptionally brilliant to make it?
Anyone who is interested in the ad industry has probably asked all these questions and more, though answering them is not as easy as binge-watching Mad Men or reading through all the Black Swan rants.
When it comes to finding answers to all those burning questions and knowing what advertising is really about, it’s best to hear it from the people on the inside – which is why adobo is hosting the first Festival of Ideas on Saturday, November 22, 2014 at the Samsung Hall, SM Aura Premier.
Reaching out to the next generation of creatives and advertising professionals, the Festival of Ideas is a series of talks from industry insiders and experts.
The whole day event aims to give advertising newbies, juniors and students a more realistic view of the industry. The event is divided into eight sessions covering various topics relevant to today’s ad men. Talks discuss issues such as Advertising and Marketing Happiness, Digital Pervasiveness, The Battle for Creativity, Work-Life Balance, and more.

Apart from the conference, the event will include the launch of the adobo Design Awards 2015, an exhibit of past winners, and a networking party that gives participants the opportunity to mingle and strengthen their connections within the industry.
