While many students are now having their semestral breaks, there are some who are still dealing with the seemingly endless school requirements. Everything’s pretty challenging, of course. In fact, there are times when things just get so tough that you feel like giving up.
How about no? After all, there are some things you can do to be inspired or to have more energy and courage to face the challenges. Here are some of them:
1. Eat Good Food
Nothing beats the feeling of eating great food, most especially if it’s prepared by someone who’s dear to you like your mom. Apart from extra energy, good food is also sure to brighten up your day. Plus, it’s a good way to bribe yourself, so later on you can just tell yourself, “hey you’ve already eaten a lot. Time to work hard!”
2. Drink Coffee
It does not have to be fancy, of course. It actually depends on what kind of coffee you want. You may opt to buy a frappuccino from your favorite coffee shop or simply make one for yourself. A freshly-brewed coffee is a great option, of course. The kick of caffeine is sure to keep you going. Do not overdo it, though. Hyper acidity is annoying, after all.
3. Read for Fun
Are you running out of things to say in your paper? Maybe it’s a good idea to take a break for a while. Besides, forcing yourself to white just when you simply cannot produce any good ideas and thoughts that make sense may just ruin your work. You may even commit some mistakes you’re sure to regret soon. So, in the meantime, pick up your favorite book and read a couple of pages until you feel like writing your paper again.
4. Write Anything That’s Not School-Related
Have some writing exercises and feel more relaxed. Also, talk about some things you are dying to talk about. Who knows, after a couple of paragraphs, you may find inspiration for your academic papers. Just be patient!
5. Go Out, Take a Deep Breath
So your brain has stopped working for a reason? If that is so, why not go out and take a deep breath? Enjoy the view outside and think of happy thoughts. Look at the things around you and be reminded of anything and everything you should be happy and excited about. For sure, the thought of all these will keep you going.
And, most of all, be strong. Keep in mind: when hellweek comes, can sembreak be far behind?
