Twenty-five delegates consisting of 23 students, a professor and a staff from Bangkok, Thailand visited the Philippines for a week of cultural exchange from January 4-10 for the program Thammasat University ASEAN Delegation 2 (TUAD2).
Seeing the beautiful places around Metro is not the only purpose of the participants. They also have a study visit program in De La Salle University-Manila and in the Thai Embassy at Makati. The delegates learned about Philippine history and tradition by going to heritage sites, specifically in Intramuros. The visit was guided by chosen volunteers from Indonesia, De La Salle University-Manila, College of St. Benilde, Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila, Philippine Normal University, Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Valenzuela, University of the Philippines and Polytechnic University of the Philippines.
“Thammasat University ASEAN Delegation 2 (TUAD2)” is aimed to prepare participants for the upcoming ASEAN Economic Community in 2015.
