Talakayan 2016 – The Bulacan Gubernatorial and Vice Gubernatorial Forum



Talakayan 2016 the Bulacan Gubernatorial and Vice- Gubernatorial Forum was a  success, held at the Valencia Hall – Bulacan State University last April 9. The election forum was spearheaded by Malolos Ministerial Council (MMC).

This event was hosted by Pastor Erick Fernandez and Ms. Jacqueline Gan and attended by numerous pastors from different churches of districts of Bulacan. This event will help the youth and other concerned sectors by organizing a Bulacan Electoral Debate which aims to spread awareness and transparency not just locally but nationally.

It is an event that gathered the Province’ future leaders by knowing their platforms and plans in the said province.

The Election Forum covered the four agendas in the province: Environment, Health, Education and Local Economy.

The following are the Candidates for this Election Forum are;

For Gubernatorial Position:

  • Ms. Josefina Dela Cruz
  • Mr. WilhelminoSy-Alvarado
  • Mr. Roderick DG. Tiongson

For Vice- Gubernatorial Position

  • Mr. Daniel R. Fernando
  • Mr. Philip R. Salvador
  • Mr. Willie B. Villarama (Candidate who was not able to attend the forum)

As one of the media partners of the election forum, Voice of the Youth Network, represented by Mr. Josh Castro, Ms. Grace Atilano and Ms. Aubrey Gonzaga covered the said event. They had the opportunity to witness this very first Election Forum in the province of Bulacan.


We also had the chance to meet Ms. Kesselle Macapagal, the External Affairs coordinator, and a youth, for Talakayan 2016.


Ms. Kesselle Macapagal shared what inspires them in organizing the election forum and the value of youth participation in this event. Videos/Interviews will be uploaded soon on VOTY Radio’s FB Page, Voice of the Youth Radio.
